We are sad to announce the closing of Constellation Community Middle School. This letter was sent to the parents of currently enrolled students.
Please know that this decision was an extremely difficult one to make. Our hearts go out to all of you during this transition. Please know that all of the staff at Constellation has enjoyed being part of the middle school experience with your child. Our greatest wish for your student is that they will continue to strive to be their personal best and always remember the Guiding Principles to support positive life experiences.

Constellation Community Middle School will provide parents with a letter in English and Spanish that outlines the process for obtaining Supplemental Educational Services. The letter will have as attachments: 1) an application indicating name, phone number, child’s name and a list of providers approved by the California Department of Education. The parents who will receive this letter are parents whose children fall into the following categories:
- Below Basic or Far Below Basic based on their language arts and math CST scores.
- Enrolled in mandatory Saturday School
- In the judgment of core subject teachers is at high risk of failing language arts and/or math.
- Enrolled in mandatory study hall Monday-Thursday.
Parents who are interested will complete an application that indicates the provider(s) preferred. Constellation will contact the providers and arrange for a meeting with the parents to initiate the SES.
Teachers will provide portfolios and work with the provider and parent to ensure that the academic goals of the student are met. Progress meetings will be mandated on a weekly basis, involving teacher, provider, parent and student.
